Bio

Francine Koopman attended Hilltop High School, Participated in track and field and field hockey, graduating in 1989. She attended Southwestern College from 1990 to 1992 and was an outstanding member of the track team. In 1991, she took 2^nd place in the 100 meters and long jump in the Pacific Coast Conference meet, qualifying for the State Meet. She won the Outstanding Female Runner Award in both 1991 and 1992.

Francine enrolled in San Diego State University and continued her participation in track and field. In 1993, she won the Coach’s Award, and in 1994, the Captain’s Award from SDSU.

Currently, Francine is an elementary school physical education teacher at Southwestern Christian School and has been nominated as a Sylvan Honored Teacher.
