Bio

Marc Carter graduated from Crawford High School in San Diego, California in 1990 where he participated in track and basketball. After earning First Team Conference honors as a basketball player, he also won the High School Brook Dunk Contest for San Diego, a premonition of things to come.

From 1991 to 1993, Marc attended Southwestern College (SWC) where he proudly earned his A.A. degree in the summer of 1993. HE was SWC’s Most Valuable Player and earned First Team All Pacific Coast Conference selection for two years playing for Head Coach John Cosentino. He still says that he loved playing in our gym with the bleachers packed with fans. Marc was a dominating basketball player known for his “quick step and jam” labeling him a high profile center by four year recruiters. HE was not only a phenomenal player but a fun and well liked individual. He was known for his great smile and quick humor and highly respected by coaches and athletes alike for his superior play, strong work ethic and love for the game.

After graduating from Southwestern, Marc attended San Diego State University on a scholarship from 1993 to 1995 where he earned All Western Athletic Conference Honors, 1993 Newcomer of the Year, and 1994-1995 First Team All-WAC.

Later, Marc played professional basketball in France, Taiwan, Brazil, and China. He has also played pro ball for the Sab Diego Wildcards in the Continental Basketball Association, as well as for pro teams in Bismarck, North Dakota, and St. Louis. Most impressively, from 1998 to 2000 Marc played on the famous Harlem Globetrotters.

According to Marc, his many experiences and travel have helped to teach him to be more self-sufficient. Today, he continues to take classes to complete his degree requirements at the University of Phoenix, works as a loan officer in the mortgage industry, and trains young athletes who dream the same as he once did.
