Getting a quick jump on the season, the former Islander fashioned a no-hit 1-0 victory over Santa Ana College. She was in control, facing just 23 batters, two over the minimum—both of whom walked. Her overall ERA was 0.93 while posting a 4-2 record.

Each month, the San Diego Sports Association honors as many as 4 professional, 6 amateur, and 6 prep athletes as Stars of the Month for their outstanding athletic accomplishments.

Stars of the Month are recognized in the San Diego Union Tribune, via the Fowler Family Awards Center at Petco Park, on the Sports Association's social media channels and website, and at San Diego's premier sports awards gala, Salute to the Champions. They also receive a Breitbard Certificate of Athletic Achievement.
