#18 Southwestern defeats #1 Santiago Canyon 11-3

Four runs batted in from Nicole Correia helped lead the Jags Softball past defending state champions Santiago Canyon College with a 11-3 victory in 6 innings.  Santiago Canyon were ranked number one in Southern California and number 2 in the state.  Correia drove in runs on a homer in the first and a single in the fifth.  An early lead and consistent hitting helped propel the JAGS to the victory.  Southwestern collected 13 hits with another impressive performance from sophomore pitcher Yazzy Jameson.
