Amanda Whitley leads the offensive to help JAGS shutout SD Mesa 4-0

Southwestern Softball comes again with a win in thrilling fashion again conference opponent SD Mesa to go 2-0 in conference and 8-3 overall.  Alyssa Garrette hit in the 1st run to get things going in the 3rd bringing in Madison Nafarrete.  In the 4th Amanda Whitley sent a blast to left field clearing a bases loaded situation earning a triple and pushing Southwestern to a 4-0 lead and the eventual win.  Yasmine Jameson had again an outstanding performance keeping Mesa to 3 hits and breaking the career strikeout record set by Southwestern's All-American Gabrielle Beasley of 255 K's with 259k's.
