Southwestern Softball hosting Regional Round 1 for the first time in the programs history

The Southwestern Softball Jaguars set another program milestone by receiving a high enough spot in the #8 seed to host Regional Round 1 for the first time in the program's history.  The 27-10 Jaguars had multiple highlights throughout the year with wins over College of the Canyons, Moorpark, Alan Hancock, and Santiago Canyon that propelled them to the highest ranking in Coach Mossadeghi's 8 year career.  The team's offense is lead by the power hitting of Nicole Correia and the speed of leadoff hitter Alyssa Garrete.  The playoff series looks to host College of the Canyons in a best of 3 series starting Friday, May 5th at 2pm.  Game 2 will begin Saturday at 12noon with an if necessary at 2pm.
