#10 JAGUARS close the 2017 season with historic feats

Southwestern has once again reached heights that the program has not been to before and elevated themselves as a team to be taken seriously and competitively.  Ending up #10 in Southern California and #17 in the state the Jags have made their 3rd playoff appearance and 6th win season under Coach Mossadeghi's 8th year guidance.  With early wins over defending state champions Santiago Canyon, Moorpark, College of the Canyons, and Riverside...SWC had an RPI of #6 which is the highest the program has reached that anyone can remember.  The jags ended up 27-12 overall, and 13-3 with a runner up finish in the PCAC conference hosting for the 1st time in school history for playoffs.

Outstanding efforts were lead by:

 -So (P) Yasmine Jameson who ended up with a career 373 K's breaking the season and career record, .323 BA, 41-21 record, .971 FPCT

-Fr (1B) Nicole Correia who hit a team high .475 with a .721 slugging %, and .987 FPCT

-So (SS) Alyssa Garrette who hit .429, 4 triples, .944 FPCT, and broke the single season record with 28 stolen bases
