Southwestern College Walks Away Victorious Over Orange Coast College, 6-1

Southwestern College took home a 6-1 victory over Orange Coast College on Sunday.

Southwestern College fired up the offense in the first inning, when Nicole Correia doubled on her first at bat, scoring one run.

Trudie Nixon was the winning pitcher for Southwestern College. She lasted seven innings, allowing six hits and one run while striking out two and walking one.

Southwestern College collected ten hits on the day.  Correia, Ariana Rodriguez, Nixon, and Cassie Van Til each managed multiple hits for Southwestern College.  Correia went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Southwestern College in hits.  Southwestern College didn't commit a single error in the field.
