Sophomore day at Southwestern College proved that the jaguars bats were ready to go with 12 hits.  8 out of the 9 batters received a hit including multiple by: Cassie Van Til, Trudie Nixon, and Nicole Correia.

Southwestern started putting runs on the board early in the game. In the first inning Trudie Nixon had a double that scored Sam Miller. In the second inning Sophomore Rebecca Mckown showed the freshman that the sophomores are here to play too with a double to right center that scored Angelina Guthro. Then Cassie Van Til followed with a single that scored Megan Malwitz. Nicole Correia caused an error to occur that allowed both Sam Miller and Cassie Van Til to score putting the jaguars to a 0-5 lead. In the fifth and sixth inning San Diego City answered back with two runs. This didn't stop the jags from scoring another run in the sixth inning. Trudie Nixon took the win for the jaguars putting her record to 16-7 and 10-3 in conference.  The jaguars are now at a record of 20-12 overall and in conference a record of 10-4.
