Guthro, Malwitz, and Correia take their talents to continue playing at New Mexico Highlands

Angelina Guthro hails from Valhalla High School.  The Southwestern softball outfielder has played a huge utility roll with the Jaguars helping them take back to back trips to playoffs.  Best known for throwing out runners trying to advance to second base and getting on base to extend the inning. Guthro has been a huge role player in the OF and 3B.  Lina hit a freshman high .351 with 2 doubles and 19 rbi's while having a strong .979 fielding %. Lina received PCAC 2nd team honors as well as NFCA Academic Award.

Megan Malwitz, Southwestern's starting catcher helped both Yazzy Jameson and Trudie Nixon amass competitive pitching ERA's and help take the jaguars to playoffs with her ability to keep the ball in front.  Her freshman efforts garnered a .311 BA, 18 rbi's, and a .990 fielding %. Malwitz received the NFCA Academic Award and 3C2A Academic Award.

Nicole Correia, the power hitting 1st baseman earned a .475BA with 13 doubles, 5HR, and 37rbi's.  Her ability to hit the ball hard was incomparable to others. Correia's efforts earned her 1st team PCAC honors as well as multiple 3C2A Academic Honors and NFCA Academic honors.  Nicole came from Point Loma High School.
