#11 Southwestern Softball successful 2020 season ended abruptly by COVID-19

Southwestern softball had started off the season in the first 2 weeks with the best start in the programs history going 6-2.  Big wins over previous State performers Fullerton College 1-0, and splitting with regional round 1 winners Santiago Canyon propelling them to a #7 RPI.  Top performers of the shortened season was offensively led by freshman Samantha Green ending with a .563 BA, 4HR, 5 triples, 12 doubles, 14 stolen bases, and a 1.094 slugging % landing her a CCCAA player of the week honors for the state. Not too far behind was Kianna Knoll with a .457 BA, 2 triples, and 5 doubles.  Coming in third, Breeanna Simmons garnered a .442 BA, 3 HR, 4 triples, and 5 doubles. Jackie Kamery in the circle ended with a 2.20 ERA allowing only 23 earned runs in 73.1 innings pitched.  The Jaguars ended the season 12-8.
