Women's soccer wins critical game

It was a day of celebration among the women's soccer athletes as they celebrated Halloween with a costume scrimmage.  The hype and celebration among the team was carried over from their 1-0 win over Mesa College on Tuesday.  The home match was a solid group effort led by sophomores Andrea Camacho and Damaris Aguila.  Both teams played a high intensity match but our Lady Jaguars came out on top.  The goal was scored in the 20th minute by Damaris Aguila during the first half.  The goal was a placed shot in the lower corner with an assist by sophomore Kimberly Mederos.  The excitement from the crowd echoed through out Devore Stadium.  Fans witnessed a team not only demonstrating strength in attack but in defense as well as Andrea Camacho had a critical slid tackled to prevent a clear goal from the opponents entering the Jaguar's goal.  The Lady Jaguars remain unbeaten in league and are currently in first place.  With two games remaining the focus is on bringing the PCAC conference championship home.  Go Jaguars!
