Southwestern women's soccer team is excited to announce that another sophomore student-athlete, Andrea Camacho has earned a full scholarship to Dixie University.  Andrea has benefited from the one-on-one attention that she has received at Southwestern, both athletically and academically earning a 3.81gpa.  She will be majoring in exercise science.  Ms. Camacho had initially been admitted to several universities out of high school but made a decision to attend Southwestern College because she knew the coaching staff would give her the support needed to reach her goal of playing at a higher level.  Head coach Carolina Soto described Andrea Camacho as a top player who has demonstrated superb leadership and commitment as a student-athlete. Andrea had the opportunity to work with all of our athletic staff that will miss her tremendously.  'We are truly going to miss Andrea's intensity and personality, she is like family and we will continue to keep in touch and support her at Dixie University.  It has been an honor to assist Andrea Camacho reach her dreams, any coach is fortunate to have her on their squad," states Carolina Soto.

"I am thankful for my time at Southwestern where I had the opportunity to mature as a student, player, and as a person.  I am also grateful to have been able to leave my mark and contribute to winning the conference title. The athletic community is a big part of my success at Southwestern because everyone is so supportive and helpful.  I am extremely grateful I chose to play for Southwestern, I made lifelong friends while becoming a strong student and player," states Andrea Camacho.
