Women soccer team looks forward to the 2019 season
The women's soccer team looks forward to beginning the 2019 season as they face two tough opponents next week. The group has been preparing all summer as it continues to develop strong team chemistry. The program is happy to welcome a large freshman class this season and to have the leadership from top returners. Sophomores Alondra Osuna, Karla Garcia and Sharon Montoya not only demonstrate quality work on the field but also in the classroom. These players come from a successful 1stseason winning the conference championship last season. They know what it takes to be successful and have assisted in instilling "Jaguar Values." Besides the addition of the large freshman class, the women's soccer team has strengthened the coaching staff by adding coach Jocelyn Ortega. After a summer of intense work, the team is prepared to play their first match next week and look forward to facing highly competitive teams this preseason. The intensity and work ethic continues as the team begins the season with optimism and enthusiasm.
