Bio

Javier Madrigal joined the School of Wellness and Exercise Science Athletics Department in January of 2020. Madrigal serves as the Athletics Counselor for the School of Counseling & Student Support Programs - working primarily with 400+ student-athletes

His primary duties consist of assisting students with selecting classes, creating education plans, and establishing academic goals. He also provides students with on-campus and off-campus resources, transfer requirements, CCCAA, NCAA, and NAIA needs.

Madrigal is a part of the California Community College Counselors Academic Association for Athletics (3C4A).

Madrigal earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Ethnic Studies from the University of California Riverside and a Master’s in Counseling from the University of Redlands.

A fan of all sports, Madrigal enjoys surfing in his spare time.
