The SWC jaguars baseball team started week three of league play with a dominate 5-0 shutout

"The Southwestern Jaguars baseball team started week three of league play with a dominate 5-0 shutout over San Diego City College. Starting pitcher Andy Candeo earned the win for the Jaguars, going 6 innings, surrending only 3 hits and striking out 4. Relief pitcher Adrian Sanchez pitched the final three innings earning the save, striking out 3 and surrending only 1 hit. Offensively, the Jaguars scored first in the 3rd inning with a towering home run by Aaron Garcia. The Jaguars later added 4 runs in the 8th inning to close the door on the visiting San Diego City College Knights.

 

The Jaguars will look to carry this momentum into their upcoming series against Grossmont College. The Jaguars started PCAC league play by splitting the first two series against Imperial Valley College and San Diego Mesa College. The Jaguars have an overall record of 3-2 in PCAC league play and have won back-to-back games outscoring their opponents 19-4 in the last two contests."
