 SWC Women's Soccer Shines and Beats #1 Team in Nation 

CHULA VISTA, CA - The Southwestern College Women's Soccer team defeated the number one team in the nation when they suffocated Chaffey College 2-0 at DeVore Stadium on Friday, September 6.  Southwestern who are undefeated with a 4-0 record, is now ranked fifth in the nation by the United Soccer Coaches Association.

If this Jaguar team needed to do something to pass the "eye test," they did by beating top-ranked Chaffey.  Chaffey was ranked number one in the nation before the game in the same poll. 

With goals from Forward Yulitza Castorena and Forward/Defender Azalia Nava and the third shutout posted on the season by Aaliyah Campbell, SWC took down Chaffey.   

The Jaguars return to action tonight and begin Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play when it hosts San Diego Mesa College (1-4) at 6:00 PM.
