Bio

Stacy Struble manages the SWC athletic training clinic inside JAWS/The Den gymnasium, overseeing care of student athletes in the court sports of volleyball and basketball, the aquatic sports of water polo and swim & dive as well as the cross country, distance track and tennis teams.   

Stacy boasts a background in sports medicine that is varied and includes work in all levels of athletic performance. Prior to joining the Jaguar athletic department in 2013, she was at the University of San Diego: Campus Recreation & Sports Clubs.  She also served as assistant clinic manager at the USOC Olympic Training Center sports medicine department in Chula Vista, during which time she supported teams including USA Softball, US Soccer, USA Rugby, USA Canoe/Kayak, USA Beach Volleyball, USA BMX Cycling, USA Triathlon, US Ski and Snowboard, USA Bobsled/Skeleton and many more. She served as USA medical staff for the 2008 Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games, the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics as well as volunteering internationally for all competing athletes at the 1996 Atlanta and the 2000 Sydney Paralympic Games.

As one of USA Volleyball’s regular volunteer staff, she was awarded the 2018 Medical Provider of the Year award.  The US Deaf Soccer national team also recognized her commitment to their programs with the 2019 Service Award.  Volunteerism and community service are important to Stacy as she does what she can to assist with local programs and continues to support USA beach volleyball athletes at competitions around the globe.  

Stacy completed her master’s degree in sport management and a bachelors of science degree in athletic training, both from Ball State University.  

She resides in San Diego and enjoys spending her free time gardening, acting as an ambassador to international travelers in San Diego, traveling and camping with friends and her dog, Baxter.
