Jaguars Enter a New Era Under Head Football Coach Oscar Rodriguez
Chula Vista, CA – Welcome to a new era of college football in the South Bay. Southwestern College hired Oscar Rodriguez to be forward-thinking and build their vision of a championship program.
Rodriguez has a winning track record, is a tireless worker and a relentless recruiter. He wasted no time since arriving in late February to build out a coaching staff and flip the roster. This group of players are bought in and will be ready to go. It is visibly evident Rodriguez has put the Jaguars on an upward trajectory toward success. He might be new to the Southern California Football Association (SCFA) and the Southern League, but not to the sport of football.
Three weeks of preseason practice with an all-new roster and coaching staff, will be put to the test for Southwestern as they welcome El Camino College to DeVore Stadium for the season opener on Saturday, September 7. Kickoff is slated for 6:00 PM.
The torch has been passed. This is Oscar Rodriguez's team and his time. This Saturday is just the beginning.
