Women Track & Field Shines at Cuyamaca Invitational

The Southwestern College track and field team delivered standout performances at the Cuyamaca Invitational, with multiple athletes achieving personal records (PRs) and season-best marks.
Camila Mendoza had a stellar meet, tying for 1st place in the high jump at 1.48m (4'10"), securing 5th place in the 100m with a season-best 13.11 seconds, and taking 3rd place in the long jump with 5.07m (16'7"). Serena Williams set PRs across multiple events: 4.72m (15'6") in the long jump, earning 5th place. 1.42m (4'8") in the high jump, placing 4th. 27.26 seconds in the 200m, finishing 8th.
Illya Rangel recorded a PR in the 3000m with a time of 12:32.02 and placed 7th in the 1500m with 5:48.36.
