Volleyball Begins Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Play Friday vs. Imperial Valley College

Beginning Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play this Friday, September 13, the Jaguars volleyball team will host Imperial Valley College (1-4) at 5:00 p.m.  The Jaguars recently swept Santa Ana, Copper Mountain and defeated Compton to level their overall record to 4-4.  Coming off three-straight home wins, Southwestern looks to continue its success heading into PCAC competition.

Through the first 8 matches, the Jaguars rank second in the conference with 252 kills and 88 service aces.  Posting 49 kills apiece, sophomore opposite hitter Hevila Watson and outside hitter Sierra Van Deusen lead the team.  Followed by freshmen outside hitter Keona Barron (41), opposite hitter Jacqueline Coronado (39) and outside hitter Jessica Albro (33)

Recording 12 service aces each, Sierra Van Deusen and middle blocker/hitter Kamryn Williams lead the team. Van Deusen also leads the team with 77 digs, 156 assists and 64 points.
